# Privacy Policy for HexBloom

This Privacy Policy describes how HexBloom ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use the App. HexBloom is a hex block puzzle game published by BGG.

## Summary

HexBloom does **not** collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us directly. The App has no user accounts, no chat or social features, and does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

The App does use two third-party Google services — **Google AdMob** (for ads) and **Google Play Games Services** (for the online leaderboard) — which may collect limited data as described below.

## Information Collected

### 1. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays a banner ad while you play, and offers an optional rewarded video ad you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus (an extra "rotate gravity" charge). These ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK), which may collect:

- Advertising identifier (e.g., Android Advertising ID)
- Device and app information (device model, OS version, IP address, general location derived from IP)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data is collected and used by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (**Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization**).

The App does **not** show interstitial or automatically-triggered ads — only a small banner and an entirely optional rewarded video.

### 2. Leaderboard (Google Play Games Services)

If you choose to view or submit a score to the online leaderboard, the App uses **Google Play Games Services**, which requires signing in with your Google account. This is handled entirely by Google; the App only sends your final score for a completed game. Play Games Services' data handling is governed by Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you never tap the leaderboard button, no Play Games sign-in occurs.

### 3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App saves the following data **only on your own device** (not on any server we control), so it remembers your progress between sessions:

- Your best score
- Whether sound is muted

This local data is deleted automatically if you uninstall the App.

## Children's Privacy

HexBloom is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App's third-party services, please contact us using the information below so we can address it.

## Data Sharing

We do not sell or share any personal data ourselves — we have no server and no user accounts. Any data collection described above is performed directly by Google (AdMob / Play Games Services) under Google's own privacy policy, not by us.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
